Start with some basic changes to your eating habits đ
Remember, you simply canât âout exerciseâ a lousy diet so if youâre struggling with your health you must impact the foundations created by nutrition.
Drink more water! Buy a great bottle and keep topping it up throughout the day. And stop drinking sweet-tasting drinks - breaking that habit is a must. Liquid calories are killing you. And so is not drinking enough water and remaining adequately hydrated.
Donât keep junk food in your house or draw at work or under the bed or in your car or .... you get the drift. If itâs not an option then you wonât be tempted by it. Put the effort in to ensure you have healthier options at your fingertips.
Let dinner be your last meal for the day. Go to bed with an emptied stomach. Even if you go to bed a little hungry, your body and brain will thank you for it in the morning!
Eat breakfast every day. Skipping breakfast will not cause you to lose weight faster so donât do it. Youâll also be less likely to over eat later in the day.
Get more sleep. Resolve to go to bed a little earlier, if even only minutes earlier. Small changes at a time make a difference. Minimise screen time in the hours before retiring to bed.
Keep the good stuff, the treats, and rewards, as such and make them occasional and special and shared with those you love and are committed to celebrating life with.
âThe line of least resistance makes for crooked rivers and crooked men. Each fish that battles upstream is worth ten that loaf in lazy bays. True, the mass of people prefer the easy way. Old ways require no effort. Physically or mentally lazy people do not want to adjust themselves. But they have never tasted the thrill of victory.â â William H. Danforth
